Sanya, located on the southernmost tip of Hainan Island, is the second largest city in Hainan Province. As the most important political, economic, cultural and foreign trade port in Hainan, it is a famous coastal tourist city with tropical landscapes and special local customs.

Sanya stands between 18°09'and 18°37' latitude almost the same as Hawaii. Therefore, it is often called "the Hawaii of China" or "Orient Hawaii". Sanya is also a famous coastal tourist city with tropical landscapes: white sand, palm trees, warm sunshine, blue sea, beautiful beaches and fresh air. The tourist sights include Yalong Bay National holiday Resort, TianyaHaijiao, Dadonghai Tourist Zone, Nanshan Cultural and Tourist Zone, Luhuitou Park, the splendid landscape of mountains and seas at Nanshan, Wuzhizhou Island, etc. the local specialties include handicrafts made of seashells, horn-ware, coconut shell carving products, squid and pepper and so on. 

This is a great place to soak up some atmosphere and the night market of this city is vigorously enchanting with seafood, stores selling all kinds of weird and wonderful wares, including smuggled goods from Vietnam as well as huge tea warehouses.
